ITINERARY:

Day 1
Windhoek – Namib Naukluft Park
You will be met by a company representative at your hotel in Windhoek and transferred to Eros Airport for an early morning check-in and departure by light aircraft to the Namib Desert. The approximate flying time is 1 hour 15 min.
Accommodation: Sossusvlei Lodge

Sossusvlei Lodge is situated at Sesriem, the entrance to the Namib Naukluft Park and the dunes at Sossusvlei. The location of Sossusvlei Lodge makes it the ideal lodge for visitors wanting to explore this section of the Namib Desert. Sossusvlei Lodge is designed to be eco-friendly and the walls and canvas roofs blend in to the spectacular scenery, and the flooring is cool slate. The lights are supplied by solar energy. Comfort is provided by the African furnishings with soft finishes, part of the art, culture and traditional theme which decorates the Sossusvlei Lodge.

Depart from Sossusvlei Lodge in the late afternoon on a leisurely drive out onto the lodge's private reserve. Watch the shadows lengthen as your guide takes you out to a panoramic location where sundowner drinks will be served as you relax and watch the spectacular sunset. Dinner can be eaten alfresco under the star studded sky of the Namib Desert, and drinks can be bought at the bushman painted bar.

Day 2
Namib Naukluft Park – Sesriem - Sossusvlei
An early start from the Lodge to enter the Namib-Naukluft Park at sunrise, while the temperature is still mild and when the dune contrasts are at their best. You will travel in one of our all-terrain URI Game viewer vehicles, custom-built in Namibia for the Lodge, with your own specially trained guide who will share all his knowledge of the area, the animals, the plant life and much more with you. Regular stops are made on the ±60 kilometre drive down to the Vlei to gain information or take in the vistas. At Dune 45, the more energetic have the opportunity to climb to the upper ridge of the world's most photographed dune. Further along, a gradual 2,6 kilometre round-trip walk up to Dead Vlei is a must for the healthy visitors. Spend time in Sossusvlei before returning to the Lodge approximately 5½ hours later in time for luncheon. Refreshments are provided on the trip.

An optional extra ballooning safari can be reserved to provide an unforgettable sunrise over the Namib Desert.

Day 3
Windhoek
After a scrumptious breakfast and check-out, your charter flight back to Windhoek takes off; either continue directly  to Windhoek International Airport to connect with your departure flight or return to Eros Airport and spend an additional night in Namibia's capital city before your final departure.
