ITINERARY:

Day 1 & Day 2
Monday & Tuesday
Windhoek - Etosha National Park
Departing Windhoek we travel via Okahandja, Otjiwarongo and Tsumeb to the Etosha National Park. The following two days are devoted purely to the abundant wildlife found in the Etosha National Park, which surrounds a parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan. This park is home to 4 of the Big Five - Elephant, Lion, Leopard and Rhino – its waterholes furthermore support a rich diversity of mammals and birds, including rare and endangered species such as black-faced Impala, roan, cheetah, and Namibia’s smallest antelope, the Damara Dik-Dik

Day 3
Wednesday
Kavango Region
We head east via the mining town of Tsumeb and the “Maize Triang . 94 to Rundu, where our lodge lies along the lush banks of the Okavango River. On our way to Rundu we will stop in Grootfontein to visit a small quaint museum that offers us unique insight into the cultural, historical as well as the agricultural history of Namibia. The Kavango region is famous for its wooden crafts the locals sell along the road; these we will visit as we travel along.

Day 4
Thursday
Caprivi Region
Our journey takes us along the Kavango River to Popa Falls, where we stop for a scenic walk along the rapids and surrounding forests, before travelling through the Caprivi Game Park. This area is renowned for its rich wildlife and abundant bird variety. Our lodge is situated near the Mudumu National Park, a riverine environment dominated by forests and extensive grass plains.

Day 5
Friday
Caprivi Region
Our lodge and its surrounding are home to a vast variety of wildlife, including Lion, Roan, Sable, Elephant and Buffalo. It is also a birders paradise, where 400 different bird species have been identified! A highlight for today will be a visit to a traditional village, where we will experience the daily life of the people who live here. We may also take part in game drives or game cruises in the morning or later afternoon (optional).

Day 6
Saturday
Drop off in Kasane, Botswana
Travelling along the Caprivi Strip, we enter Katima Mulilo, situated along the Zambezi River that forms a natural boundary to Zambia. Driving along stretches of huge Baobab Trees, we enter Botswana and travel via the Chobe National Park, renowned for the highest elephant population on earth, to Kasane, where our tour ends.

• Transfers available from Kasane to Victoria Falls, Botswana or Zambia, where you can take part in adventurous activities that range from sunset cruises to White River Rafting to Elephant Back Adventures, bungee jumping and much more.
• Extend your stay in Victoria Falls, Livingstone or Chobe.
• Continue with the Botswana Game & Waterways Tour (NSA013), which takes you back into Namibia via the Okavango Delta, situated in Botswana.

Vehicles used will be Microbus / Sprinter / Speedliner.
