ITINERARY:

Day 1 & Day 2
Saturday & Sunday
Chobe National Park
Our tour starts in the Chobe National Park, the second largest National Park in Botswana and home to the highest elephant concentration on earth! The riverine forests and floodplains support a multitude of game species, which in turn attract predators such as lion, leopard and hyena. On Sunday morning we enjoy a game drive through the park and a boat cruise along the banks of the Chobe River in the afternoon.
Accommodation: Chobe Safari Lodge

Day 3
Monday
Eastern Kavango
We travel west into Namibia via the BwaBwatwa National Park, where over 400 bird species have been identified! Animals found in the park include elephant, buffalo, Sable and Kudu. Our lodge for the night is situated at the gate to the Mahango Game Reserve. Enjoy the green vibrant life of the Okavango River as it streams past the deck of our lapa. Take the opportunity of seeing hippo’s and crocodiles on the water while enjoying a sundowner cruise in the afternoon.
Accommodation:  Divava Lodge

Day 4
Tuesday
Okavango Delta, Botswana
On our way to the Okavango Delta travel into the Mahango Game Park, an area comprised of Woodland and Floodplains and which is one of the top birding spots in Africa. The floodplains along the Kavango River accommodate Reedbuck, Red Lechwe and Sitatunga, while elephants, Buffalo, Roan and Kudu inhabit the woodlands. Our lodge is situated on the edge of the magnificent Okavango Delta in Botswana.
Accommodation:  Nguma Island Lodge

Day 5
Wednesday
Okavango Delta, Botswana
The Okavango Delta is the world’s largest inland wetland, and consists of a 16000-km² wilderness of meandering channels, oxbow lakes, floodplains and tree-covered islands. We explore the Delta in “mokoro’s”: dug out canoes used by the local population as the only means of transport. This experience gives us an excellent opportunity to explore the beauty of the environment with its diverse and pristine fauna and flora.
Accommodation: Nguma Island Lodge

Day 6
Thursday
Kalahari Desert
The Kalahari Desert represents the largest sand mass on earth and is home to various bushman communities that have lived and hunted here for thousands of years. Our lodge is situated in Namibia’s most important bushman habitat; in the evening we will have the pleasure to join the bushman families in their dances, and learn more about their traditions and cultures.
Accommodation: Zelda Guest House

Day 7
Friday
Windhoek
After breakfast, we travel back to Windhoek via Gobabis, the capital of cattle farming country. This fact is accentuated by a huge statue of a Brahman bull that stands proudly at the entrance of the town. In the late morning we will have arrived in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia, where our tour ends.
