Sossusvlei and Sesriem present one of the most spectacular images of Namibia. This short scheduled tour is perfect for clients with limited time. Departing from Swakopmund around lunchtime on Friday and ending in Windhoek in the early afternoon on Sunday.
Our base is in the Sesriem area with accommodation in permanent adobe style tents with en-suite facilities or twin rooms and stunning views across the mountains and desert. An excellent way to experience the amazing 'sand dune sea' of the Namib Naukluft Park and Sossusvlei region.
Day 1 - Friday
Lodge near Sesriem
Departure is from Swakopmund at 12 noon (wintertime 11h00) and your vehicle will travel via the Kuiseb Canyon and Ghaub Pass before stopping at Solitaire to refuel. Your guide will provide a light lunch on board. Arrival at camp is late afternoon and you will have time for a short walk to view the beautiful sunset over the Naukluft Mountains.
Overnight accommodation is in permanent “adobe” style tents with en-suite bathroom. Dinner is prepared over the campfire by your guide. (L,D)
Day 2 - Saturday
Lodge near Sesriem
We game drive until mid morning when we will stop for a light breakfast. We visit many waterholes and drive half way across the park in our quest to find the big 4 as well as all the plains game arriving at Halali for a rest during the hottest part of the day. Here your guide will prepare you a delicious lunch whilst you have a dip in the pool or relax by the camp waterhole. Continuing after lunch you will visit the mighty Etosha Pan and have the experience of walking on the pan to feel the immenseness of this 4500 sq km saltpan (seasonal). We will then continue back to Okaukuejo calling into some well-known waterholes and leave the park prior to sunset.
Overnight in twin share rooms or permanent tents with en-suite bathrooms. Dinner prepared by your guide. (BLD)
Day 3 - Sunday
Return to Windhoek
Early morning breakfast before heading to Solitaire Guest Farm where we join a biologist to track wild cheetahs at the Na'ankuse Namib Conservation Centre. We return to Windhoek via Bullsport and Rehoboth. We arrive mid afternoon and you will be dropped at your accommodation. Should you wish to travel on this afternoon we DO NOT recommend flights prior to 17h00. (B)
